Glad you could drive by my site and take a look. This blog is my new space for creating simple moments of pure contentedness. I was going to ‘wow’ myself with phrases like ‘…pure happiness’, and ‘unique experiences’, but I’ll let you be the judge of that. Everyone seems to be striving for a new level of happiness. When I think back to memories that I remember with crystal clear clarity, they were moments of utter content. The smells, the sights, and people I was with, the drink I was having; it was like time stopped. Those are the moments that make me feel like all is right in my world. For me, food is the way to start that process rolling. My aim is to prepare so that those moments are apt to happen more often. “But I’m so busy, I don’t have time,” you say? No worries. I’ll make it easy; a no-brainer, I promise.
What kind of foods can I eat now? It’s all about the options
My goal in showing you these recipes is to talk about options. Options of what to cook, how to cook, and how other people are cooking it. I know how hard it is to get a diagnosis and then have to change everything. All my food recipes will start from plant-based meals. The meals can be altered to meet several dietary needs. Remind me to take one day at a time. Then I’ll move on to a whole week.
Is this going to cost me a lot? Eat healthy for less
I’ve been accused of cooking gourmet food. I’m not really sure what that means, but I will say that cooking with what’s in season is not only healthier but cheaper. I’ll be looking at all of the common complaints and barriers that people have used as a reason to not change their habits. That includes time, cost, organization, tools, and some motivation to help you get started and keep moving. We’ll be doing it together. The lifestyle change through food has been something I’ve been working on for several years now. I’m hoping that if you’re reading this blog, you’ll offer up creative tips and motivation that have worked for you.
Change your dietary ways without losing the fun!
I’ve been surfing on a lot of travel and food websites. I guess you could say I’m looking for trends if you want to get technical. I just like to see how the food world is changing. With all the documentaries, books, and awareness campaigns about processed food and dietary changes, it’s pretty tough not to get overwhelmed by all of it. Personally, I cried for a year when I had major inflammation issues. It seemed like I was allergic to almost all of my favorite foods. It was a major change for me to cook in a new way. I like to say I had to get ‘edumacated.’ During my search, I found amazing people blogging about all the ailments I had. I’ll be sharing recipes from those bloggers and creating some riffs of some old favorite comfort foods.
‘Nuff said about all that. Let’s roll.
